Terms of Service

Terms of Service - SCUPsyc

These Terms apply to use of scupsyc.com, the SCUPsyc Global Psychology Network, its portal, downloadable resources, professional membership and paid consultation routes. By creating an account, purchasing a service or using a restricted portal function, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms removes consumer or privacy rights that cannot lawfully be excluded in the jurisdiction that applies to you.

Policy & Support

Use these pages to understand platform terms, privacy, health-information handling and cancellation rules. Questions can be sent to the SCUPsyc support desk.

Nature of the platform

SCUPsyc is an independent professional psychology platform offering information, professional-network functions and consultation routes. It is not an emergency service, hospital, public authority, licensing body or universal substitute for local clinical care. Website content and downloadable guides are educational and supportive resources rather than diagnostic tests. A consultation may help organize concerns, provide psychoeducation and identify possible next steps, but it does not guarantee a diagnosis, treatment outcome, prescription, certificate or forensic opinion.

Accounts and eligibility

Users must provide accurate account information and keep login credentials secure. Do not share an account or impersonate another person or professional. Where a user is a minor, a parent or legal guardian may need to create or supervise the account and consent to services according to applicable law and provider requirements. SCUPsyc may suspend access when necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, respond to payment disputes or enforce these Terms.

Psychologist membership

The $95 psychologist membership is a one-time platform membership charge under the current offer. Payment activates the membership workflow but does not automatically verify professional credentials. Public directory visibility requires both an active paid or administratively waived membership and the member’s request for public visibility. A “verified profile” badge is a separate administrative review and does not replace any license, registration, insurance or legal permission required to practice in a particular jurisdiction.

Paid consultations

The current paid routes are one written consultation for $49, one 60-minute phone consultation for $96 and one 60-minute Zoom consultation for $196. Each successful Stripe payment creates one matching consultation request credit when the checkout email matches the portal email. A request credit is consumed when the user successfully submits that service request. Phone and Zoom times remain subject to scheduling confirmation. Users should provide accurate timezone and availability information.

Professional responsibility and cross-border practice

Psychologists and other professionals remain individually responsible for their qualifications, ethical duties, insurance, scope of practice, client suitability decisions and compliance with the laws and professional rules that apply where they and the client are located. SCUPsyc membership or directory presence must not be presented as a government license or regulatory authorization. The platform may decline or reroute a service when legal, professional, safety or practical constraints make the requested format inappropriate.

Acceptable use

Users must not misuse the portal, attempt unauthorized access, submit malicious code, harass others, scrape protected information, misrepresent qualifications, use content for unlawful purposes, or submit information they have no right to disclose. Downloadable guides may be used for personal informational purposes but may not be republished, sold or falsely represented as another organization’s work without permission.

Payments, refunds and disputes

Payments are processed by Stripe. Current fees are displayed before checkout. Refund, cancellation and rescheduling rules are described on the Refund, Cancellation & Rescheduling page and remain subject to mandatory consumer law. Duplicate charges, unauthorized transactions or technical payment problems should be reported promptly through Contact & Support. Filing a payment dispute does not prevent SCUPsyc from investigating the underlying service record.

Availability and limitation

SCUPsyc aims to keep the site, portal, payment routes and resources available, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SCUPsyc is not responsible for losses caused solely by third-party outages, user-provided inaccurate information, misuse of educational content, or professional services delivered outside the platform’s stated scope. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes and contact

SCUPsyc may update services, prices for future purchases, portal features and these Terms. A price change does not retroactively alter a completed one-time purchase. Questions about these Terms can be submitted through Contact & Support or sent to tercumepres@gmail.com.

Responsible-use note: SCUPsyc information and consultations are educational/supportive and are not emergency services. Diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions and regulated practice depend on appropriately qualified professionals and the law where the client is located.
